“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus came to this earth in human form so that He might become what we are so that we might become what He is! The baby born in the manger became our substitute. At the Cross there was a great exchange; He took our sin and the curse upon us and gave us His righteousness and the blessing that was upon Himself.
How much sin did Jesus have to commit to become sin for us? The answer is, “He didn’t commit any sin.” He took our sin. How much righteousness did we commit to become His righteousness? The answer is, “We didn’t commit any righteousness.” We took His righteousness when we received him as our Lord and Savior.
This Christmas let’s thank God for sending Jesus; after all, He’s the greatest gift anyone could ever receive! Merry Christmas!
