“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient time the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” ~ Isaiah 46:10
One interesting thing about God is that He declares the end from the beginning, but He doesn’t do the end from the beginning. If you don’t understand this you can become confused about the will of God for your life. Even though God has spoken to you that He’s going to do something in your life, that doesn’t mean it’s going to come to pass immediately. He’s just speaking to you the end from the beginning. Now comes the outworking process. The process of bringing it to pass. That process can sometimes take months, even years, depending on what God is doing.
It can be very tempting to give up during the outworking process. You’re very excited about the beginning. That time when God reveals His plan to you. I know it’s a very exciting time, but what you’ve got to know is that it’s not the one who starts the race that gets the medal, but the one who finishes. So don’t just begin well, but finish well also. Stay faithful, stay committed, and run your race to the finish line!
