“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” ~ Mark 11:24
The King James version uses the word desire in this verse and I like that word because sometimes we need to ask ourselves, “How strong is my desire?” Perhaps you’re wanting to accomplish a dream God has put in your heart, or perhaps you have something in your life you want delivered of. How strong is your desire? How strong your desire is will make all the difference in the world.
I’ve said, “The easiest person to get delivered is the person who wants to be delivered.” Actually, the only person you can get delivered is the person who wants to be delivered. The same is true of the person trying to reach a God-given dream. If they desire it strong enough it’s only a matter of time before they achieve it, but if the desire is lacking it’ll be hard, if not impossible, for them to attain it.
Some things require great diligence and discipline to accomplish. Jesus said at times it would be like plucking your right eye out or cutting your right hand off. So, you have to ask yourself sometimes, “How strong is my desire?”
