There was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no ties with anyone. ~ Judges 18:28
Divine connections are those connections that are “God ordained”. They help you get to where you need to be while you help someone else get to where they need to be. We can’t live life as a lone ranger and expect to receive the deliverance and help that we need. Most of the time God will use other people to help us.
I’m reminded about the man at the pool of Bethesda who was unable to walk for thirty-eight years. Every so often an angel would trouble the waters of the pool and whoever got in first was made whole of whatever was wrong with him. The man told Jesus that he had not been healed because he had no one to help him get into the pool when the waters were troubled by the angel. You would have thought that in thirty-eight years he would have made a connection with someone who could help him!
Divine connections are so important to our lives. Be sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life and He will lead you to your divine connections!

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of Host. And all the nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land. ~ Malachi 3:11,12
God is very much interested in your finances. He wants to multiply and protect them. But He won’t be able to do so unless you open the door for Him to do it. How? Through tithing to your local church! When you tithe you give God the legal right to intervene in your financial affairs. You give Him the right to defend you against any financial destruction the devil might try to bring. Tithing causes you to lay a foundation for success and abundance. Tithing is an insurance plan against the devourer.
A friend of mine, when he was first beginning to walk with the Lord was having a problem with tithing off of his gross income. He decided he would tithe off the net, even though the Word of God tells us to bring the first fruits of all our increase. He tithed off of the net for two weeks and each week his car had problems that cost him the same amount as the difference between tithing off of the gross and tithing off of the net. Needless to say, he learned a lesson — tithe off of the gross! Now, God didn’t tear his car up, it was the devourer.
Don’t wait until your back is up against the wall to start tithing. Begin now. Start developing your faith in the blessings God’s Word promises you as a tither. Learn to act on the Word when it comes to tithing. When satan tries to take advantage of you in the financial area, stand your ground and proclaim what is written. Be like Jesus when satan tempted Him in the wilderness… say, “it is written.” When you do this you’re going to come out on the other side with sweet victory!

That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing…. ~ Colossians 1:10
This is the key to walking in God’s best for your life! When we walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, it opens up realms of blessing that before we were not walking in. There are three important things we need to do if we’re going to walk worthy of the Lord. First, we need to live by faith (you can’t please God without it). Second, we must walk in holiness. And third, we must live the love life. When you practice these three things with all your might you’ll find new areas of blessing opening up to you.

But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. ~ Matthew 6:33
We’re going through a time in our nation right now where a lot of people are worried about their things. They’re concerned about their money, their homes, their cars, and the list goes on. And truly your heart goes out to the person who has saved all their working life to have a comfortable retirement only to see their savings wiped out. But there is good news; if we’ll seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness He has promised to provide the things we need! Third John 2 declares that God wants us to “prosper in all things.” So, God truly wants us to have things. What He doesn’t want is for us to seek things first.
When I hear about people taking their own lives because they’ve lost their things I realize that they were seeking things first and not the Kingdom of God. If you truly seek the Kingdom first you can rest assured that no matter what happens to your things God will always replace them. It’s part of our benefit package in the Kingdom of God. So don’t worry about your things, just seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and trust Him to provide the things you need.
